Seeing a foot ulcer is a sure way to give a reality check to anyone not taking proper care of their feet. Limb amputation rates are at an all time high of up to 125 a week in the UK, and Thailand are starting to experience a rise in diabetes rates too. Their campaign, however, is perhaps a little more direct than ours.

The graphic images shown on posters promoting the Diabetes Association of Thailand are certainly shocking, but they do have a good message behind them in promoting healthy eating and control of glucose levels. Clever camera work and photoshopping shows models' limbs suffering wounds made out of cakes and hot dogs, that are gaping and surprisingly close to the real thing.
